Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary
Uppalapadu Bird Sanctuary, located about 15 km from Guntur city in Uppalapadu village, is a small but very important wetland haven for migratory birds in Andhra Pradesh. Spread around village water tanks, it hosts thousands of birds each year, including spot-billed pelicans, painted storks, openbill storks, white and glossy ibises, coots, cormorants and several species of ducks that migrate from regions as far as Siberia, Australia, Bangladesh and Myanmar
