T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 schedule: Check full match list, date, venues for all teams

T20 World Cup 2026 Super 8 schedule: The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup will enter the second stage of the competition as the 20-team tournament boils down to the last eight teams with the Super 8s, starting Saturday. After a slew of close shaves and upsets, seven of the eight pre-seeded teams by the ICC have qualified for the Super 8s, where the teams will be divided into two groups of four, again determined by their pre-seeded pools. In Group 1, co-hosts India will be pitted against West Indies and South Africa, who also topped their respective groups. Replacing the top seed, Australia, from Group B, Zimbabwe will take the fourth spot in Group 1 after their inspiring run in a group that also saw Sri Lanka securing qualification. The Lankans will be up against Pakistan, England and New Zealand in group 2. Matches will be played in a single-round robin format with the top two teams from either group qualifying for the semi-finals. The Super 8s will run from February 21 to March 1.

Hockey: Disjointed India end Rourkela leg of Pro League with fourth straight defeat, conceding 19 goals and scoring just five

Written by: Pritish Raj 5 min readNew DelhiFeb 15, 2026 11:41 PM IST India were once again beaten by Argentina, this time by a 2-4 scoreline. Across the four matches, India conceded 19 goals and scored just five goals. (Hockey india) Make us preferred source on Google As India wrapped up a forgettable home leg in FIH Pro League with four defeats in four matches, head coach Craig Fulton’s response was: “Judge us when everything is in sync.” On Sunday, however, ‘sync’ was missing big time as India were once again beaten by Argentina, this time by a 2-4 scoreline. Across the four matches, India conceded 19 goals and scored just five goals. Even when everything is not in sync, doing the basics right at the elite level in any sport is mandatory. After a 0-8 drubbing against Argentina in the previous clash, the last two defeats against Belgium and Argentina by 2-4 scorelines appear respectable, but the more concerning bit was the lack of application by the Indian players. India kept losing possession in midfield, were stagnant in defence and made poor decisions in attack. The numbers of the match told the same story. Argentina had 55% possession as compared to India’s 45%, had more circle entries (18 to 12), and earned more penalty corners (9 to

How Jammu & Kashmir went from punching bag to Ranji Trophy title contenders

(PTI Photo) Make us preferred source on Google Jammu & Kashmir had waited 66 long years to be in the Ranji Trophy final. Last year, they seemed on course but fell short by one run against Kerala in the quarter-final. In the semi-final this time, at 71 for four needing 55 to win at the Kalyani ground against hosts Bengal, out walked J&K’s buccaneer batsman Abdul Samad, who unleashed 27-ball 30 that had three sixes. That proved to be a game-changing knock. J&K, for long considered punching bags of the North Zone, were through to the final, a step away from the summit they had never dared to set their eyes on. Bengal were the fourth team that J&K defeated, travelling to their backyard, after Delhi and MP. In their last near-miss of a season, they had humbled Mumbai in Mumbai. Samad, known as the ‘Hot Spring of Kalakote’ (Rajouri, Pir Panjal), but having grown up in Jammu city, was the batting star with his fearless batting. “One of the cleanest strikers of the ball,” said bowling coach P Krishna Kumar.
