The survey aimed to assess the general health conditions of residents, focusing on early detection of common ailments such as diabetes, hypertension, and seasonal illnesses A dedicated team of medical officers, nurses, and health volunteers carried out door-to-door visits, collecting data on individual health histories, vaccination status, and nutritional levels. The survey also included on-the-spot health check-ups, such as blood pressure and sugar tests, to ensure timely diagnosis and preventive care This initiative was organized under the supervision of local health authorities and community leaders, with the goal of improving access to healthcare and providing immediate medical support to those in need. People-centric governance is a priority, says Guntur Collector

Guntur Collector A. Thameem Ansariya has called upon the district administration to adopt a people-centric approach in governance Addressing the officials after taking charge as the Collector on Saturday, Ms. Ansariya underlined the importance of teamwork, stating that nothing is impossible when the officials work collectively.She asked the officials to remain accessible to people and priorates the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS). She instructed officials to resolve the petitions promptly and inform the applicants clearly when matters fall beyond their jurisdiction The Collector cautioned against repeated re-openings of grievances, stressing the need for field-level inspections and inquiries to ensure resolution of the pleas She stressed the need to effectively implement the ‘Vision Andhra’ action plan across sectors and work towards achieving the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).She emphasised the importance of gathering citizen feedback on welfare schemes through multiple channels to improve service delivery Ms. Ansariya urged the officials to provide quality services.The meeting was attended by Joint Collector Ashutosh Srivastav, Tenali Sub-Collector Sanjana Sinha, DRO N.SK.
